Old weight on my shoulders, dust on my name
Carried it far through the smoke and the rain
I brought it to the fire, I brought it to the stone
Everything I'm holding, I don't hold alone
Breathe it out, let it burn low
Feel the ground, feel it pull me home
Lay it down, lay it down
Let the earth take the weight of it now
Bare feet on the ground
We begin, we begin again
Lay it down, lay it down
Ash on my palms from the night before
Every door behind me, I don't need it anymore
We gather in a circle, hands open wide
What I buried in the morning turns to light
Breathe it out, let it burn low
Feel the ground, feel it pull me home
Lay it down, lay it down
Let the earth take the weight of it now
Bare feet on the ground
We begin, we begin again
Lay it down, lay it down
Roots beneath me, breath within
Let it go and begin again
Lay it down, lay it down
Let the earth take the weight of it now
Bare feet on the ground
We begin, we begin again
Lay it down, lay it down
Let the earth take the weight of it now
Bare feet on the ground
We begin, we begin again
Lay it down, lay it down
We begin, we begin again
